Matter is expanding its network of contractors to support the development of innovative microplastic filter products. At Matter, we’re tackling microfibre pollution at its source by creating solutions to protect the environment. We have multiple upcoming opportunities for temporary contract roles and are particularly interested in Test and Assembly Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for individuals who can commit full-time and work on-site at our Bristol facility. This work will involve close collaboration with our in-house team and often include hands‑on lab testing. Projects include developing products for the laundry sector and engineering industrial filtration systems for the textiles industry, for which you would be responsible for delivering independent work packages.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Experience

• Hands‑on experience in designing, fabricating and assembling test rigs and modifying prototypes.
• Strong understanding of verification and validation principles in product development.
• Experience in developing, executing, and optimising test methods.
• Effective time management and keeping to test plans.
• Proficiency in data analysis and report writing, translating results into actionable insights.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working on the assembly of industrial equipment.
• Experience in test data acquisition, storage and conversion into data presentation such as Labview or similar.
