Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.
The Role
The successful applicant for this position will joinourEEintegrationteam to work on various customer projects. The role also leads bring up and troubleshooting of product issues throughout the lifecycle; leads associated test verification and validation activities at the componentand board levels, including development of testing equipment and execution of test cases. A successful candidate will be highly motivated, well versed in the state-of-the art, and capable of driving design and execution through all development stages.
Area of Responsibility
- Leadend – to – end system integration of Battery Management Systems (BMS)across battery cells, modules, packs, and higher – level systems.
- IntegrateBMS hardware and softwarewith vehicle, inverter, PCS, EMS, charger, or grid interfaces.
- OwnBMS functional integration, including cell monitoring, balancing, thermal management, protection, diagnostics, and state estimation (SOC, SOH, SOP).
- Define and manageBMS interface requirementswith ECUs, power electronics, safety systems, and external controllers.
- Ensure reliable communication usingCAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, Modbus, and custom protocols.
- Leadsystem-levelrequirementsdecomposition, allocation, and traceability related to BMS functions.
- SupportBMS algorithm integration, calibration, and validation activities.
- Work closely with battery suppliers, BMS vendors, and system integrators to ensurehardware–software compatibility.
- Working directly with the customerEE& High Voltage integration teamand internal TTL engineers to understand currentIntegration &testrequirements.
- Ability to read/understand ECU schematic,identifyHW-SW integration issuesWorkwith system experts to understand system requirements and features to ensure coverage of testing meets expectations.
- Experience invehicletestingand vehicle integrationat overall system level.
- Reporting of issues and status of testingobservedon vehicle with first-level test data and test sequence.
- Strong understanding of electronic ECU's used in BEV batteryelectricvehicleand vehiclesubsystemsDiscussknowledge gaps and system requirements with system experts to enable thorough test coverage.
- Support setup, commissioning and refinement of test system(s) and test automation.
- Experience in simulation/virtual methodologies and/or tools.
Knowledge / Experience
- Strong hands – on experience withBattery Management Systems (BMS)integration.
- Experience withbattery cell, module, and pack architectures(Li – ion preferred).
- ProficiencyinCAN-based systems, message definition, DBC files, and diagnostics.
- Electrical, electronic, control systems orautomotive engineeringdegree 2:1 or above or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Previousexperience of manual and automated test execution and development.
- Familiarity with typical software and test development processes.
- Familiarity with requirements capture and requirement toolsets to generate test cases tovalidaterequirements.
- Experience with ETAS INCA / Vector CAN ape Tool experience or equivalent data acquisition experience
- Knowledge of automotive networks such as CAN,FlexRay, LIN, A2B, MOST etc.
- Experience of DSPACEor NIHiLhardware and software.
- Experience within the area of RequirementsModelingand Model Based System Engineering
- Excellent analytical skills and RCA., Root CauseAnlaysis, virtual analysis tools
- Should have good knowledge and trained in ISO 26262.
- Experience in AUTOSAR Basic Software configuration.
