Our client is looking for a **Structural Engineer** to join the **Civil, Structural & Architectural (CS&A) Design Team**, supporting the delivery of the **SIXEP Continuity Plant (SCP)**. This vital new‐build facility will play a key role in Sellafield’s mission to create a **cleaner and safer environment for future generations**. The role is based at **Birchwood Park, Warrington**, with a hybrid working pattern of **three days per week in the office.** The Role As a **CS&A Structural Engineer**, you will be a key contributor on a major nuclear infrastructure project, working closely with both design and construction stakeholders. This is a hands‐on role focused on delivering robust, compliant, and buildable structural solutions in a highly regulated environment. **Key Responsibilities*** Design of **reinforced concrete and steelwork structures** in accordance with relevant codes and standards (e.g. Eurocodes)* Production and checking of **structural calculations and engineering drawings*** Development of underpinning calculations to justify designs, including **service supports*** Review and checking of **specialist and third‐party calculations*** Responding to **emergent structural technical queries** during design and construction* Liaising with multidisciplinary teams and attending meetings and **occasional site visits**What We’re Looking For* **Degree qualified** in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Structural Engineering)* **Chartered Engineer status preferred**, but not essential* Proven experience in **structural design** (reinforced concrete and steelwork)* Sound understanding and application of **Eurocodes*** Ability to interpret and produce **high‐quality engineering documentation*** Comfortable working in a **regulated or safety‐critical environment*** Eligible and willing to obtain **Security Clearance (SC)** The NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
