Job Title: Telecoms Field Engineer

Location: Field Based, Southern

Salary: £30-38,000 OTE £40-44,000

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement customized VoIP solutions tailored to client requirements
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot VoIP hardware and software (IP phones, routers, switches, servers)
• Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for VoIP systems, promptly addressing any issues
• Monitor VoIP network performance, optimising call quality and system reliability as needed
• Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards, including the implementation of encryption and access controls
• Document VoIP configurations, network diagrams, and installation processes
• Train clients and end-users on VoIP system features and functionality

Requirements

• Proven experience with VoIP system installation, configuration, and support
• Strong understanding of VoIP protocols, codecs, and SIP
• Knowledge of network protocols and LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers and switches
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Certifications such as CCNA or VoIP-specific credentials are advantageous
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
