A well-established and growing environmental consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Geoenvironmental Consultant to join their team in Basingstoke. This is a key strategic hire aimed at strengthening both technical delivery and business development capabilities within the geoenvironmental division.

This role is ideal for a Chartered Scientist (CSci) with a proven track record in delivering complex contaminated land projects and, importantly, the ability to win and develop new business.

The Role

You will take a leading role in managing and delivering geoenvironmental projects while also driving growth across the region. Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and delivering contaminated land and geoenvironmental projects
  • Providing technical oversight and mentoring junior staff
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports (Phase I/II, risk assessments, remediation strategies)
  • Supporting the strategic growth of the team and wider business

About You

  • Chartered Scientist (CSci) or working towards chartership
  • Strong background in geoenvironmental/contaminated land consultancy
  • Demonstrable experience in business development and winning work
  • Excellent report writing and project management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and client-facing ability
  • Leadership experience or readiness to step into an Associate-level role
