Job Title: New Business Sales Executive – Durham

Reporting to: Durham Managing Director

Role Overview

The New Business Sales Executive is responsible for proactively identifying, targeting, and acquiring new business opportunities. This role is highly target-driven and focused on building a strong sales pipeline through outbound activity and closing new deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new leads via cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and networking.
  • Identify decision-makers and build relationships with potential clients.
  • Qualify leads and convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Deliver sales pitches, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Negotiate terms and close new business deals.
  • Maintain an active and accurate pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing for lead generation campaigns.
  • Stay informed on market trends and competitor offerings.

  • Degree not always essential; results matter more.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of outbound calls/emails per week.
  • New leads generated.
  • Meetings booked.
  • Conversion rate (lead → customer).
  • Revenue from new business.
  • Pipeline value and activity levels.

Salary

  • £35,000 – £50,000 base.
  • Commission structure (OTE £55k-£65k).
