Your contribution to our company
We are seeking an ambitious Site Agent to helpdeliver our contract for the Strategic Rail Freight Interchange (SRFI) at SEGROLogistics Park Radlett.
- Located at the former Radlett Aerodrome site in Hertfordshire, SEGRO LogisticsPark Radlett will deliver a state-of-the-art rail freight terminal completewith extensive distribution warehouses and over 600 acres of enhanced greenspace.
- The development aims to shift freight transportation from road to rail,significantly reducing carbon emissions and road congestion.
- Construction is anticipated to take place over the next three years.
- The scheme also promises numerous community and environmental benefits,including biodiversity net gain, employment and training opportunities, andintegrated transport improvements.
Requirements
- Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team to enable them to optimise their work contribution.
- Review contractual agreements anddevelop design, working methods, programme and forecast costs with theAgent, General Foreman and Subcontractors / Suppliers identifying anyinaccuracies or inconsistencies, and feedback any changes made to the QAand QS teams.
- Develop programmes and forecastbudgets, assess actual programme and productivity achieved and reviewweekly, taking action where appropriate, and reporting any changes to theproject manager and QS department.
- Be fully conversant with subcontractors’ contract conditions,develop job specific subcontract conditions and manage the subcontractorsaccount with the QS team.
- Requisitioning resources in a timely manner to ensure thatthey are correctly specified and readily available so as not to impede theconstruction programme.
- Communicate to the QA and QS teams’ non-conformancesand any instructions received from the client / designer / RE’s staff.Ensure that comprehensive records of resources employed on additionalworks are maintained.
- Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, includingany changes / variations, subcontractors’ attendance, and records ofwork-related discussions with client / designer / RE / project team.
- Ensure that inspection andtest plans, risk assessments and method statements for the control of theworks are reviewed, approved, and adhered to
- Keep abreast of developmentsin professional field.
- Use the requirements of the SMS and EMS as a minimum standard to be achieved, seeking improvements where practicable.
- Ensure that staff receive or have access to safety and environmental management systems and polices and are kept informed of all developments and issues.
- Ensure that the staff receive suitable trainingappropriate to their roles and requirements of the safety andenvironmental Procedures and management systems.
