About the Role
Due to continued growth in the Northwest region, TSA Riley is seeking to appoint a Project Manager to strengthen our project management team. We have offices in central Manchester and Bolton. The successful candidate may work from either office. This role offers excellent career development opportunities and exposure to pre‑construction, development management and delivery stage PM services.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of planning, procurement, coordination, and consultant inputs to ensure quality delivery.
- Lead meetings, site coordination, and project documentation across assigned workstreams.
- Monitor programme and cost performance, identify deviations, and support corrective actions.
- Track project risks, opportunities, and commercial factors, escalating issues when required.
- Resolve conflicts, address challenges, and mitigate delays to keep projects on track.
- Prepare project reports, updates, and records using TSA Riley systems and templates.
- Maintain clear, responsive communication with clients and delivery partners.
- Manage client expectations to support satisfaction and build strong, trusted relationships.
- Collaborate with project teams to support performance, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Manage project risk, safety, and compliance practices in line with TSA Riley standards.
- Contribute to proposals, sector initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Several years of post‑qualification experience delivering construction‑related projects in a client‑side or consulting environment (not suitable for those transitioning from non‑construction industries).
- A tertiary qualification in a field relevant to constructing or delivering projects in the built environment, such as Construction Project Management.
- Experience with projects in residential, retail, commercial, healthcare, leisure, industrial or similar sectors.
- Solid understanding of end‑to‑end project lifecycles, including procurement, design coordination, delivery, and contract administration.
- Curiosity and adaptability to work across sectors, secondments, and different delivery contexts (public and private).
- Proficiency with digital tools to support reporting, tracking, and documentation.
- A reputation for high‑quality work and a collaborative, effective working style.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to support effective project delivery.
- Experience working in agile environments and contributing to cross‑functional teams.
