Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager (WwTW) to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks Team at the Mogden Treatment Works site for our client Thames Water, located in Twickenham, London. The contract is permanent, full time; flexible and part‑time hours may be available upon request.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day‑to‑day design and construction of projects with value up to £15m, including procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Deliver projects safely, within budget, on schedule, and to quality expectations, meeting customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Oversee and coordinate the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (MEICA) team and installation works at Mogden Sewage Treatment Works.
  • Direct and support a team of MEICA engineers to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of works.
  • Manage the overall programme of works, aligning with upstream client requirements and downstream subcontractor deliverables.
  • Define, develop, and approve detailed scopes of work for each mechanical and electrical package; support tender inquiries and facilitate contract award for subcontract packages.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Manager to monitor and report on project financial performance, including cost control, forecasting, and risk management.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing complex multi‑million mechanical and electrical schemes.
  • Understanding of building within potentially hazardous atmospheres and construction involving live plant/processes and impact/mitigation.
  • HNC or higher in a relevant engineering or project management subject.
  • Transferable skills valued; not all requirements mandatory.
