General Operative – Brora

Location: Brora

Duration: 6 month assignment

Pay Rate: £14.18 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:30am – 3:00pm

(Regular overtime available, but not guaranteed)

The Role

We are currently recruiting a General Operative for a 6 month contract in Brora, with an immediate start available. This is a hands‑on, outdoor role working as part of a refuse collection team, helping to ensure essential services are delivered safely and efficiently.

Duties Will Include

• Assisting with refuse and recycling collection
• Loading and unloading bins and containers into collection vehicles
• Working closely with drivers and other operatives as part of a team
• Following Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Maintaining cleanliness of vehicles and work areas
• Communicating clearly with colleagues and members of the public
• Completing basic paperwork and simple forms as required
• Carrying out all duties associated with a physically demanding role

Requirements

• Good awareness of Health & Safety in a working environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and the public
• Good level of physical fitness
• Full, valid UK Driving Licence
• Able to manage simple paperwork and forms as required
• Reliable, punctual, and happy working outdoors in all weather conditions
