Haggerty Jaques are pleased to be working with a well-established, globally connected professional services business with a strong presence in Leeds. They are looking to strengthen their internal risk and contracts function with the addition of a Contract Reviewer.

\n\n

The Role

\n\n

Sitting within a central risk function, you’ll support operational teams across the business, helping them review, understand and negotiate contractual terms with both clients and suppliers.

\n\n

Day to day, this will involve:

\n\n

\n\t
• Reviewing and advising on a broad range of commercial contracts
\n\t
• Supporting teams to move through internal risk processes smoothly and efficiently
\n\t
• Liaising with insurers and brokers around professional indemnity and related queries
\n\t
• Working alongside internal stakeholders and, where needed, external legal teams
\n\t
• Providing practical, solutions-focused advice on contractual issues
\n\t
• Contributing to the ongoing improvement of systems, processes and risk awareness across the business
\n

What They’re Looking For

\n\n

This role would particularly suit a paralegal with previous commercial contracts experience who is looking to build on their foundations in a more business-facing environment.

\n\n

Key requirements include:

\n\n

\n\t
• A law degree (or equivalent), with a minimum 2:1 classification
\n\t
• At least 12 months experience reviewing and/or drafting commercial contracts
\n\t
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
\n\t
• Confidence working with a range of stakeholders across a business
\n\t
• A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
\n\t
• Solid IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)
\n
