At Gallagher Re we’re seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our Management Information and Data Team at the start of a great period of change and modernisation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of data management and reporting processes. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, understanding what our broking divisions requirements and needs are from data as we continue to be a data-driven decision-making business. This role is based from our London Headquarters based in the City and we offer flexible/hybrid working with two days in the office being a usual schedule. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements related to data management and reporting. Assist in the development and maintenance of data models, dashboards, and reports to support business objectives. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies predominantly using SQL and Power BI. Translate business requirements into technical specifications for developers by writing consistent and thorough user stories, documentation and acceptance criteria’s. Support the implementation of MI reporting solutions aligning business stakeholders and developers so the right solutions are created. Provide training and support to end-users on data tools and systems. Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on data management and analysis. Previous experience in using data visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI) and an ability to query databases using SQL and snowflake. Experience with data governance and data quality management is preferable and the appetite to facilitate agile ceremonies, workshops etc is beneficial.
