Brunel College is an independent alternative provision for students in Years 9, 10 & 11. The provision specialises in providing a nurturing environment for vulnerable students, students with SEND and behavioural needs by delivering lessons on a 1:1 and small group work basis, where the focus is on the well-being of our students.

We are looking for a qualified Maths Teacher to support individual students and small groups of students. By designing and implementing planned learning activities and teaching programmes as agreed you will ensure that students are able to achieve their potential across the academic curriculum alongside building their confidence and independence. You will be responsible for leading on our Maths provision. Currently our students succeed in various qualifications including Functional skills and GCSE.

The preferred candidate will: 

  • Be able to demonstrate a passion about the role of Maths within education 
  • Be able to establish strong relationships and have excellent interpersonal skills 

Act as a role model in teaching through: 

  • Consistently outstanding personal practice 
  • Proactively seeking innovation in pedagogy through evidence-based practice 
  • Foster a climate of support, self-reflection and continuous improvement in other colleagues 
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate a range of lessons to ensure student success
