The Role
We're looking for a Consulting Director, Brand, Growth and Innovation specialist to join Ogilvy Consulting. Consulting Directors bring a blend of creative thinking, strategic depth, and analytical rigor and are trusted advisors to senior commercial and marketing leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day project engagement, owning projects and workstreams, applying appropriate methodologies and an agile mindset.
- Deliver high‑quality work directly and through others; produce or elevate output that is strategically rigorous, visually compelling, and lands with senior audiences.
- Manage client relationships strategically, commercially and operationally.
- Lead or participate in strategic new‑business proposal development and pitches.
- Participate in all aspects of methodology and work, including creative thinking and developing strategic recommendations to complex business challenges.
- Ensure Ogilvy Consulting has an impact in client meetings and presentations, internally and externally.
- Work with other Ogilvy and WPP businesses to identify, scope and deliver strategic engagements that broaden Ogilvy's impact.
- Stay abreast of innovations in your area(s) of expertise, contribute to the knowledge base and develop thought leadership.
- Act as a role model and mentor junior team members, fostering growth, psychological safety and continuous learning.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in consulting, strategy or client‑side strategy roles.
- Proven track record of leading complex, high‑impact client engagements from framing to delivery, with evidence of commercial outcomes.
- Deep expertise across growth, brand and commercial strategy, fluency in creative strategic thinking and rigorous commercial analysis.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and visual storytelling skills; ability to translate complex problems into clear narratives and persuade senior stakeholders.
- Sector experience in FMCG, F&B, logistics, telco, tech or B2B is advantageous.
- Practical fluency with AI tools (LLMs, synthetic audiences, rapid prototyping) and ability to articulate the strategic value of AI.
- Confident, credible presence in client settings and comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, delivery‑focused, adaptable and able to work in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.
- Collaborative and generous with expertise, building and nurturing high‑performing teams.
- Curiosity and energy that motivate others and run through everything you do.
