Job Title: Business Development Director

Overview: We are looking for a seasoned print sales professional to take up this key vacancy in the Midlands. The role is suited for a solutions salesperson focused on relationship selling rather than price competition. The client is part of a multi‑site group providing variety and support.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales and GP targets by developing a new business pipeline.
  • Ensure compliance with company initiatives and meet timescales. CRM compliance is compulsory.
  • Conduct a minimum of 12 customer‑facing meetings per month.
  • Assist with retention and account reviews, especially the first two post‑implementation reviews.
  • Manage margin by reviewing accounts regularly to maximise gross profit while benefiting the customer with alternatives and savings.
  • Complete monthly reports.
  • Support New Business Print Development Managers on customer visits, as deemed appropriate.
  • Own the CRM for existing and prospect accounts to achieve sales targets.
  • Attend bi‑monthly Print Forums to discuss results, including specialists, new business and company initiatives.
  • Support implementation of new accounts alongside the Implementation Team.

Qualifications & Skill Set

  • Proven track record in a print sales environment with emphasis on relationship selling.
  • Ability to work independently and drive success through existing customer base and new business.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Desirable: experience with a CRM tool (training will be provided).
  • Excel experience and marketing print specification and project experience.
