Finance Director

A rapidly growing international business, operating in the technology space, is seeking to recruit a Finance Director to take ownership of the overall management of the accounting function and financial reporting. The role reports into a CFO but will provide day‑to‑day leadership to both the finance and management teams with a broad technical accounting group remit.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the submission of monthly management accounts and consolidation packs of a multiple entity international group
• Oversee the production and accuracy of monthly management analytic report
• Ensure all projects comply with revenue recognition accounting standards
• Maintain full control of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany balance reconciliations and timely settlements
• Ensure full compliance with tax, VAT, audit and regulatory obligations, ensuring clean audits
• Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process, working closely with Business Unit Directors.
• Act as a key point of contact for commercial decision‑making across the business.
• Ensure adherence to Group accounting policies, statutory requirements and internal control frameworks
• Manage cashflow forecasting and strong banking relationships
• Provide line management to 4 qualified accountants and lead and mentor the broader finance team

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be fully qualified and bring proven experience in a similar senior finance role, demonstrating the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Experience working in a project‑driven accounting environment with exposure to software revenue recognition would be a significant advantage. People management will be a key component to ensure team engagement in a changing environment. Strong critical‑thinking, problem‑solving and forward‑looking analytical abilities will also add value to the group.
