Operations Director

Our client has a requirement for an Operations Director with a working knowledge of lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships are key.
• Leadership, motivation and direction of 100+ people.
• Improve all-round professional standards and team performance.
• Develop individuals within teams.
• Lead and promote innovative change and modern methodologies within the manufacturing area.
• Continue to enhance quality and delivery performance to stringent customer requirements and lead times.
• Identify, promote and deliver cost reductions.
• Promote health and safety throughout the workspace.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have substantial and successful experience in managing people and processes to high quality standards in time‑constrained activities whilst also reducing costs, a “shirtsleeves”, hands‑on approach to delivery of objectives, demonstrable success in creating and implementing change programmes with “hard” positive impacts on customer service, quality and cost, and proven organisational and project management skills.
