Salary: £60,000 £70,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Remote (UK-wide)
Contract: Fixed-Term (13 Weeks) Full-Time (37 hours per week)

The Role
As Strategic Head of Apprenticeships & Development, you will take ownership of the operational delivery, quality, and strategic growth of apprenticeship programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of apprenticeship provision, ensuring high-quality learner experiences and outcomes
- Driving apprenticeship performance, achievement rates, and compliance with funding rules
- Developing and implementing apprenticeship growth strategies, aligned with organisational and commercial objectives
- Ensuring full compliance with ESFA funding requirements, Ofsted standards, and apprenticeship frameworks/standards
- Managing and developing high-performing teams across apprenticeship delivery, quality, and operations
- Identifying opportunities to expand apprenticeship programmes, introduce new standards, and enter new markets
- Building strong relationships with employers, stakeholders, and partners to enhance apprenticeship engagement
- Using data and MI to monitor apprenticeship performance, learner progress, and quality improvement plans

Ideal Candidate
We re looking for a driven and experienced professional with a strong background in apprenticeships and work-based learning.
You will have:
- Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within apprenticeships or vocational education
- In‑depth knowledge of ESFA funding rules, apprenticeship standards, and Ofsted inspection frameworks
- A proven track record of growing and improving apprenticeship provision
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in driving apprenticeship starts and revenue growth
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with employers and funding bodies
- Experience leading teams across apprenticeship delivery, quality, and compliance
- A data‑driven approach to apprenticeship performance and quality improvement
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
