Senior Door Engineer

Responsibilities of a Senior Door Engineer

• Report to the Doors and Security Manager and oversee the maintenance, service, and repairs of automatic swing and sliding entrance systems and industrial doors within a local postcode area.
• Act as the primary point of contact for other technicians when issues arise.
• Assist in arranging interviews for potential new staff.
• Work with a range of equipment, including automatic doors and industrial roller shutters, managing your own work in progress.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and communicate any area issues to your line manager.
• Attend regular training courses, management meetings, and support the team’s reputation and growth.

Essential Requirements of a Successful Senior Door Engineer

• EN16005, IPAF, PASMA certifications.
• Previous practical experience working on swing, sliding entrance systems and industrial door systems.
• Confident product knowledge and able to offer advice to others quickly when required.
• Electrical, welding or hydraulics experience.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Problem solving skills.

Salary and Benefits for a Senior Door Engineer

• Attractive starting salary package of £55,500 basic with OTE circa £65k+ in the first year.
