Responsibilities of a Senior Door Engineer
- Report to the Doors and Security Manager and oversee the maintenance, service, and repairs of automatic swing and sliding entrance systems and industrial doors within a local postcode area.
- Act as the primary point of contact for other technicians when issues arise.
- Assist in arranging interviews for potential new staff.
- Work with a range of equipment, including automatic doors and industrial roller shutters, managing your own work in progress.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and communicate any area issues to your line manager.
- Attend regular training courses, management meetings, and support the team’s reputation and growth.
Essential Requirements of a Successful Senior Door Engineer
- EN16005, IPAF, PASMA certifications.
- Previous practical experience working on swing, sliding entrance systems and industrial door systems.
- Confident product knowledge and able to offer advice to others quickly when required.
- Electrical, welding or hydraulics experience.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Problem solving skills.

- Attractive starting salary package of £55,500 basic with OTE circa £65k+ in the first year.
- Overtime rates paid at 1.5 times the minimum.
