Peaple Talent have partnered with a fantastic client on an exclusive basis to help them find a Data Team Lead to join their growing team in Bristol.
This is a hands‑off leadership role where you’ll focus on enabling and supporting a multidisciplinary data function rather than being stuck in the technical weeds.
You’ll be managing a talented team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Data Strategists, reporting directly into the directors, helping to drive improvements across the wider business.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys people leadership, strategic thinking and improving how data teams operate, without needing to stay deeply hands‑on technically.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and developing a high‑performing data team
- Optimising internal processes across the data function
- Working closely with senior leadership to shape data strategy
What We’re Looking For
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing data team members
- Strategic background providing expertise to make company‑wide decisions and optimise process
- Knowledge of Data experience, ideally in Data Science or Analytics
- Capable of leading the integration of data into client projects and business outcomes, building long‑term partnerships.
Location
Bristol (hybrid, ideally 1 day per week onsite)
Salary
£60,000 – £70,000
