We are looking to appoint a high calibre Bid Manager to one of the UK’s leading marketing services companies.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the tender response function from qualification through to pitching stage.
- Bid writing and managing company bid teams to gather responses.
- Continuously appraise and update the bid library to keep material current, compelling and catalogued.
- Report on bid activity levels and results for Sales & Marketing and Connect RTMs during internal meetings.
- Maintain membership of tender subscription services.
- Stay up-to‑date with public sector procurement legislation and advise the business as necessary.
- Stay abreast of company proposition and services, along with market and competitor developments.
- Assist in pitches, providing material and attending presentation team where appropriate.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Analytical ability to shape a solution to meet clients’ dilemmas.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain good relationships across the Group and with prospective clients.
- Very proficient in MS Office, especially Word; ability in InDesign is desirable.
- Excellent time‑management skills to manage bids simultaneously to deadlines.
- Flexible approach to workload, managing peaks and troughs in the bid pipeline and providing ad‑hoc support in other areas as required.
- Good understanding of company proposition and competitor awareness to develop winning solutions.
