Job Purpose

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to be an integral part of the Projects Team. This role will be supporting the Project Director and project team. The PE role will support the Project Director in general project management activities, interface and risk management, deliver a specific area of the project (to be determined based on experience). This role will also interact with multiple contractors, requiring a great degree of self and time management. Interfaces with appropriate personnel on the project team. You will be a key member of the project team and will have responsibility for driving the project forward successfully by managing the performance of vendors and other third‑party contractors; coordinating between the various internal disciplines and reporting back to the Project Director. Exceptional planning, organisation and communication skills and the ability to develop relationships and influence at all levels are key to this role. The successful candidate will have a background working within a project delivery environment, preferably within energy storage, process, or electrical power fields; and will have hands‑on experience of the entire project life cycle from FEED, project planning, cost estimating, detailed design, risk and change management, delivery and commissioning to close out and handover. The role will be predominantly based in our central Glasgow office, but visits to the Hunterston site will be expected when the needs of the project require it. The role will develop as the company grows and the Projects department expands and so is suited for an ambitious person looking to progress their own career.
