Project Design Engineer

What will you be doing?
- Develop project layouts, specifications, and detailed designs from contract requirements
- Produce general arrangement drawings and subsystem designs using AutoCAD and Inventor
- Support the creation of design risk assessments and ensure compliance with EN standards and CE / UKCA requirements
- Work closely with other engineering departments, project management, and procurement to deliver projects from design through to installation and handover
- Attend client sites when required to support installation and resolve engineering issues
- Produce a project technical file including drawings, specifications, BOMs, O&M documentation, and risk assessments
What we are looking for?
- Mechanical Engineering qualification (Degree preferred, HNC minimum with relevant experience)
- Background in automation, capital equipment, or large‑scale engineered systems
- Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred)
- International travel required on a limited basis
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
