Job Summary
We’re looking for a high-performing, commercially driven New Business Executive to join our team and play a key role in driving growth across St John Ambulance. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who thrives on winning new business and building long-term client relationships. You’ll focus on securing high‑value training customers, converting them into National Accounts, and delivering meaningful revenue impact. Working across both direct sales and bid opportunities, you’ll take ownership of building and converting a strong pipeline, targeting key industry sectors and engaging with senior decision‑makers. This role offers the chance to combine strategic selling with hands‑on business development in a purpose‑driven organisation.
About You
You’re a results‑driven sales professional who knows how to open doors, build relationships, and close deals. You’re confident operating in a B2B environment and enjoy working with senior stakeholders to deliver value‑led solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding new business targets
- Experience in B2B sales, ideally with exposure to large corporate clients
- Strong commercial acumen, with excellent negotiation and closing skills
- Confident delivering presentations and managing a sales pipeline end‑to‑end
- Highly self‑motivated, organised, and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable using CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, along with tools like Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including Maths and English
Role Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, networking, and consultative selling
- Work closely with the Bid team to deliver high‑quality tenders, contributing to pricing, proposals, and presentations
- Achieve and exceed revenue and margin targets, tracking performance and activity through Dynamics 365
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, delivering impactful presentations both in person and via Teams
- Drive account growth through upselling and cross‑selling across training, eLearning, and related services
- Ensure a seamless customer journey, from initial engagement through to handover to Account Management
