Senior Finance Analyst – Strategic Planning

Location: Newbury + (*Hybrid/*Homebased Working)

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Grade: 10

Hybrid work: 2-3 days in office per week, at least 8 days per month.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare clear, executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations that focus on effective data storytelling and practical, actionable insights.
  • Support strategic initiatives through financial guidance, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Consolidate initiatives, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers from across the business to help shape the financial narrative and provide timely, accurate reporting.
  • Lead the consolidation and development of the long-range plan and contribute to the setting of business-wide targets.
  • Act as a strong advocate for internal controls and IFRS standards, ensuring SOX compliance is embedded across all financial processes.
  • Review existing processes and working practices to identify opportunities for efficiency, enhanced insight, and improved analysis.
  • Carry out market and economic analysis and apply this insight to anticipate future performance trends and potential opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience partnering with and supporting director-level stakeholders, with the ability to influence outcomes while maintaining a strong customer focus.
  • Contributes to shaping long-term strategy by using data and insight to inform business direction.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Solid financial acumen with experience in business partnering and strong commercial awareness.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset, actively seeking opportunities to learn, improve, and explore new possibilities—both individually and collaboratively.
  • Able to engage, align, and empower teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
