Role Overview

We are seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join our UK Finance team based in Stoke-on-Trent. This role will support the UK Finance function and local management team by providing timely, accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis. You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, supporting informed business decision‑making.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage rolling monthly forecasts and the annual budget process.
  • Establish departmental budgets and ensure accurate cost control and accountability.
  • Deliver clear and insightful management reporting across operational performance, revenue, inventory, project accounting, and intercompany activity.
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic and commercial decision‑making.
  • Develop and track KPIs in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
  • Support the month‑end close process and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
  • Work closely with global finance colleagues to align forecasting and reporting methodologies.
  • Support statutory audits and respond to ad‑hoc requests from senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in FP&A roles, ideally within a fast‑paced or manufacturing environment.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong experience using financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and producing meaningful financial insights.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Experience with Navision and/or Hyperion and knowledge of US GAAP would be advantageous.
