We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist for a specialist role within a Wheelchair Service. This opportunity is ideal for clinicians with experience in complex assessments and equipment provision who are passionate about improving mobility, independence, and quality of life for service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake specialist clinical assessments for individuals with a range of complex mobility needs
  • Prescribe wheelchairs and associated equipment tailored to meet individual requirements
  • Manage a caseload of medium to highly complex service users
  • Carry out assessments in clinic settings, service users’ homes, or community locations
  • Work collaboratively with Rehabilitation Engineers and specialist seating services where required
  • Act as a key point of contact for service users, responding to queries and resolving issues effectively
  • Triage concerns and coordinate appropriate responses to ensure timely solutions
  • Promote independence, safety, and optimal functional outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience in wheelchair services, seating, or complex equipment provision
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
  • Experience working with complex physical needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for community visits
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
