Deputy Radiology Manager – Oxford Hospital, Diagnostic Imaging – Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week). Salary: up to £48,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The radiology department includes MRI, CT, interventional radiology, cardiac catheterisation, ultrasound, mammography, theatres and general X‑ray. Responsibilities
- Cover management of the department and staff while the Radiology Manager is absent.
- Maintain clinical competence through regular clinical sessions.
- Coordinate equipment training for radiographers and radiologists.
- Liaise with local research facilities to support ongoing research activity.
- Apply risk assessment principles and develop local policies to meet departmental requirements.
- Take on additional duties in Health & Safety, Radiation Protection, and Medicines Management.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, adequate staffing and timely completion of audits and risk‑assessment updates.
- Assist with infection control, radiation protection monitoring and validation of new equipment and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc or DCR in diagnostic radiography and current HCPC registration.
- RPS training.
- Extensive postgraduate experience and desirable postgraduate qualifications.
- Previous leadership or managerial experience in a sub‑departmental role.
- Flexible approach, interpersonal skills for managing a diverse and multi‑skilled workforce.
- Willingness to work flexibly, alter shift patterns and assist the Radiology Manager when unavailable.
