Registered Nurse - Marie Curie REACT
• Full-time; 37.5 hours per week (8 am–8:30 pm); Permanent contract. • Salary: £32,073 – £39,043 per annum (pro rata, plus enhancements). • Based at the Bradford Hospice (Outstanding CQC rated).
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality, integrated nursing support to patients discharged from the Emergency Department whose needs can be met at home.
- Conduct rapid assessment, create and implement care plans, and evaluate patient care.
- Co‑ordinate care with multidisciplinary team and support healthcare assistants.
- Prioritise and manage multiple complex symptoms within the last year of life.
- Communicate compassionately with patients and families and maintain a person‑centred approach.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities and evidence‑based practice.
Qualifications and Skills
- Registered Nurse on the NMC Register.
- Knowledge of palliative care and management of complex symptoms at the end of life.
- Ability to coordinate care and prioritise patient needs.
- Strong communication skills and forward‑thinking approach.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel.

Short-term intervention service aims to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions for patients with unmet palliative care needs, improving patient and family experience and addressing inequalities in access to specialist care across Bradford.
