Electrical Design Engineer

£40,000 – £50,000 + private medical care, annual bonus, travel/offshore uplifts. 37.5 hours a week with hybrid & flexible options.

A growing specialist engineering consultancy is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a technically focused organisation delivering bespoke electrical and control systems across complex industrial and energy-related projects.

Role

• Electrical design of LV control panel systems
• Producing schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
• Supporting design activities from concept through to manufacture
• Collaborating with controls engineers and project teams
• Assisting with technical documentation and design updates
• Occasional site support and commissioning activities (~10% travel)
• Very occasional offshore work

Required Experience & Skills

• 3+ years of experience of control panel electrical design for industrial automation
• Experience designing LV control panels
• Experience using AutoCAD Electrical or other electrical CAD / 3D electrical design software
• Knowledge of HV systems would be advantageous but is not essential
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within a project team
• Willingness to occasionally support site activities
