Must‑Haves
- Strong mechanical maintenance background
- Experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment
- Confident fault‑finding on mechanical systems
- Experience on drive systems, rollers, belts, and rotating equipment
- Proactive, hands‑on approach
Hours
Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00; Friday: 07:00 – 13:00
The Opportunity
This isn't your typical maintenance role. You will be working in a practical, hands‑on environment maintaining and repairing a wide range of machinery and equipment, from older to modern. The role requires a strong mechanical mindset rather than just swapping parts.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining and repairing a variety of mechanical equipment
- Fault‑finding on gearboxes, bearings, shafts, belts, and drive systems
- Working on rollers, rotating equipment, and material handling systems
- Carrying out component repairs and rebuilds
- Supporting hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Completing PPMs and responding to breakdowns
- Supporting improvement work across the site
What We're Looking For
- A hands‑on engineer who enjoys practical mechanical work
- Someone comfortable working on a variety of machinery (not just automated lines)
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability
- A reliable team player who can also work independently
- Apprentice trained or time‑served (preferred)
