At Jacobs, we are solving complex problems to create resilient environments, thriving cities and advances in science and manufacturing. Join the Jacobs Graduate Development Programme (GDP) to develop through blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking. The programme is designed to help you become knowledgeable and competent across four focus areas: human skills, consulting skills, championing our strategy, and your passions. The GDP can be customised to reflect your career goals and technical interests, creating a graduate experience unique to you. The programme is on-the-job driven, with learning accumulated through work experiences and guidance from your manager and mentor. It is a launchpad for your career, providing tools, experiences and support to work on meaningful projects and collaborate with industry leaders to deliver outcomes for complex challenges.
You will join our Tunnelling and Ground Engineering team. Jacobs is a large, diverse provider of technical and management services, with a long-standing tunnel and ground engineering capability in the UK and Ireland. We welcome graduates from geoscience and engineering disciplines including Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Seismic Hazard and Earthquake Engineering, Geomorphology and Geohazard Risk Assessment, Geophysics, Structural Geology and Hydrogeology to contribute to projects. For example, a structural geologist may characterise subsurface sites for nuclear waste and CO2 storage, while an engineering geologist may help define ground conditions for major infrastructure projects.
We are looking for a graduate to join our team based in Belfast. The start date for this position is September 2026. You will work as part of a diverse and skilled team of specialists, providing support and advice to the wider Jacobs business and clients, with opportunities for a broad range of responsibilities within the Tunnelling and Ground Engineering team to develop your career.
