The Opportunity – Prestige Automotive Technician
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Mechanic to join our busy and well-equipped workshop in Swindon.
This position offers exposure to varied and technically challenging work across prestige, performance, and fleet vehicles. It is ideal for a technician who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving, and delivering high-level mechanical and electrical repairs.
Core Responsibilities
Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics across engine, gearbox, electrical and mechanical systems
Complete servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards
Perform mechanical repairs including suspension, braking systems and drivetrain components
Conduct scheduled inspections across a small managed fleet
Utilise specialist diagnostic platforms and manufacturer-level software
Undertake air conditioning servicing, tyre fitting, and general workshop repairs
Accurately complete service records and digital job cards
Work collaboratively to maintain workshop productivity and quality standards
About You
Experienced Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic capability
Comfortable working independently within a professional workshop
Motivated to achieve high standards of workmanship
Passionate about prestige and performance vehicles
Reliable, organised, and detail-focused
Committed to delivering excellent customer service
Skills & Qualifications Required
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an automotive technician or mechanic role
MOT Tester licence beneficial but not essential
Proven experience in fault diagnosis and modern vehicle electronics
Full UK driving licence
