Mechanical & Electrical Engineer

We currently have a great opportunity for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to join our leakage team at our Orpington Water Treatment Works Site.

Base Location: Orpington WTW – Kent – BR6 0SQ. Working Pattern: 38 Hours Monday-Friday.

All PPE and tools are provided.

Responsibilities

• Work in a multi-disciplinary team alongside operational teams such as systems, mechanical, and electrical technicians.
• Install, modify, and commission new plant equipment to relevant standards, diagnose and repair faults on systems and complex network assets, and identify and report follow‑on work or areas for enhancement to deliver cost‑effective improvements.
• Investigate complex network asset failures and implement repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• Provide specialist technical advice where appropriate to assist the delivery of zonal availability and complex pressure management.

Qualifications

• Ideal: an engineering degree or other appropriate technical qualification.
• Working towards or having achieved a relevant professional qualification and/or membership of a professional institution.
• Proven senior engineering experience in an electrical environment delivering SCADA/PLC installation and maintenance.
• Good communication skills.
• Fully competent in using the company’s IT systems and Office software.
• Familiarity with RTAP/FTAP and Clear SCADA.

• Competitive salary between £45,000 and £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus company van.
