An opportunity has arisen for a HV Authorised Shift Leader to join a facilities maintenance team at a high-profile international commercial banking site in London's West End. This role operates within a critical environment, supporting the continuous operation of mechanical and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all plant and equipment are operating efficiently to meet client requirements, while identifying and escalating risks where necessary.
- Fault diagnosis and repair within technical capability.
- Assist with work order prioritisation.
- Liaise with helpdesk teams and end users regarding maintenance requirements.
- Oversee subcontractors, ensuring all works are delivered in line with company engineering standards and industry best practice.
- Minor works, such as like‑for‑like asset replacement.
- Support team development.
- Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across the site.
- Practical understanding of cost awareness and sustainability in service delivery.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified electrically (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
- Current HV switching authorisation.
- Previous experience within corporate or banking facilities maintenance environments.
- Eligible to pass security clearance.
- Proactive, conscientious approach.
Working Conditions
This position follows a continental shift pattern (days and nights, 7:00-19:00 / 19:00-7:00) and offers a basic salary of up to £63,000, along with a company pension scheme and 20 shifts' holiday allowance per year.
