Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Manufacturing)

Recruitment Unlimited are working on behalf of our client to recruit a skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site based on the outskirts of Tiverton (approx. 10 miles away).

Role Overview

You will become part of a knowledgeable and supportive engineering team, playing an important role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of a busy production facility. You will be involved in both reactive and planned maintenance activities, helping to minimise downtime and maintain consistent production performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responding to electrical breakdowns in a timely manner and carrying out effective fault diagnosis and repair
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance tasks in line with scheduled maintenance plans
  • Supporting ongoing improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reliability across the site
  • Undertaking general electrical maintenance and day-to-day engineering support across the facility
  • Working on a mix of electrical and instrumentation systems as part of wider engineering operations
  • Full site‑specific training will be provided where required.

Requirements

We are looking for a practical, hands‑on engineer with a proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving. You should have experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment and be confident working with:

  • Three‑phase electrical systems
  • Analogue current loops
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
  • Industrial maintenance environments

You will be confident working independently when required, while also being a strong team player within a busy engineering environment.

Package & Benefits

  • Salary: £34,000 – £39,500 DOE
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 expected to be on call 1 in 4 weekends
