This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee a dedicated engineering team and ensure that all machinery, equipment, and planned projects run like clockwork.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the engineering team, supporting both personal growth and operational excellence
- Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance activities across the site
- Implement and manage the site's planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme
- Drive continuous improvement projects designed to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and support smooth operations
- Manage engineering budgets, contractors, and spare‑parts strategies
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety standards and company procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in engineering leadership or management
- Strong background in electrical or mechanical maintenance within agriculture, food production, or manufacturing
- Ability to motivate and develop a team while fostering a positive, high‑performance culture
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
- A proactive mindset with a passion for improvement and problem‑solving
- Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or above, HNC/HND preferred)
