Are you an experienced Senior HR Business Partner looking for an opportunity to operate at both a operational and strategic level within a complex, high-impact organisation?
I am delighted to be supporting the recruitment of a Senior HR Business Partner on behalf of a large, forward-thinking local government organisation at a pivotal stage in its workforce and organisational development. This is a key role within the HR & Equality, Diversity & Inclusion function, partnering with senior leaders across corporate services and education focused provision to drive workforce improvement, organisational effectiveness and the delivery of high quality public services.
This organisation is located in Nottingham is committed to delivering meaningful outcomes for the communities it serves, with a strong focus on efficiency, inclusion and long-term sustainability. You will play a central role in shaping and delivering people strategies that support transformation, workforce planning and cultural development, ensuring services are fit for the future. The organisation offers hybrid working, where you will only need to attend the office 2-days per week.
This role is paying up to £450 per day (inside IR35), and will work closely with senior leadership and reporting into the HR Business Lead. You will also lead and support a small team of HR professionals, ensuring a consistent, high-quality service across designated areas while contributing to wider HR and EDI priorities.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional with a strong generalist background within schools/local government, ideally CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent. You will bring significant experience of operating in a business partnering model, with a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and delivering people-focused solutions within a complex environment.
You will have strong knowledge of UK employment law, experience of managing complex employee relations issues, and a demonstrable ability to lead organisational change and workforce transformation initiatives. A collaborative and credible communicator, you will be confident working across multiple stakeholders and adapting to evolving organisational needs.
