Role Overview

Technical Installations Trainer (Engineering and Operations). Reference number: 458867.

Location: Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes – hybrid working is possible, with overseas travel required to support training and observations. A location allowance of £1,750 is offered.

Salary: £48,801 per annum plus benefits.

Freedom to use the company shuttle bus between central Milton Keynes and Hanslope Park.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead, and deliver high‑quality technical training to new Engineering and Operations staff and Technical Apprentices.
  • Identify skill gaps and design bespoke programmes to enhance the expertise of existing technical staff.
  • Maintain relevance, up‑to‑date content, and clear objectives for all training courses.
  • Provide developmental feedback and detailed solutions to all trainees after each course.
  • Promote skills‑sharing sessions, engage with stakeholders on new technical security systems, and monitor upgrades to existing systems.
  • Implement and uphold health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

NVQ, QCF, City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC or a similar qualification in electronics, telecommunications, IT or protective security systems, or proven equivalent experience.

City & Guilds Level 3 award in Education and Training desirable. Knowledge of construction and electrical security procedures and administration, and experience working with electrical and construction colleagues, are a bonus.

Skills & Experience

Experience delivering technical training or presentations to diverse audiences with varying levels of expertise.

Ability to apply academic knowledge in practical settings and programme relevant equipment.

A keen interest in software development and programming is preferred.
