About the Role
Prime Appointments are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Final Tester to join its manufacturing team in Ipswich. This role is key to ensuring finished products meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards before reaching customers. Working as part of the product commissioning team, you’ll carry out inspections, testing, and adjustments across a wide range of machines, helping maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and product reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out systematic commissioning of finished products in a safe manner
- Perform engineering and quality inspections in line with defined standards
- Adjust and set products to meet operational performance and legal requirements
- Record product compliance and highlight any non-conformances
- Collaborate with quality and assembly teams to resolve product issues
- Maintain accurate documentation for traceability and record retention
- Ensure all safety features, electrical systems, and fluid systems are fully operational
- Conduct road testing and speed calibrations
- Perform hydraulic oil pressure testing at specified temperatures
- Check correct positioning and adhesion of product decals
- Ensure all issues are resolved prior to product release
- Engrave products with allocated serial numbers
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong assembly knowledge across multiple machine models
- Product operational licence (preferred)
- Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Good judgement to elevate issues when needed
- Computer literate with attention to detail

- Known Risks: Moving forklifts, pallet trucks, trip hazards
- Mitigation: Full Health & Safety induction provided on your first day
- PPE Required: Safety boots
