SFJ Awards is the awarding organisation specialising in qualifications for the policing and fire and rescue sectors. Regulated in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, SFJ Awards seeks to offer the best quality and most trusted qualifications in fire and rescue.

We’re seeking applications from candidates to become External Quality Assurance Associates and would like to hear from suitably qualified and experienced professionals with significant practical experience of working within fire and rescue assessment and quality assurance.

The role of our External Quality Assurance Associates is to quality assure our centre’s assessment and internal quality assurance against SFJ Awards requirements, and to ensure our centres continue to comply with the SFJ Awards approved centre requirements. The role is flexible.

Responsibilities

• Quality assure centres’ assessment and internal quality assurance against SFJ Awards requirements.
• Ensure centres continue to comply with SFJ Awards approved centre requirements.
• Collaborate with centres and SFJ Awards staff to maintain high standards of assessment quality.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A thorough knowledge of training within the fire and rescue sector.
• Recent experience of assessing and/or internal quality assurance of fire and rescue qualifications.
• (Desirable) An External Quality Assurance qualification (Level 4 Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice).
