Overview

As Programme Planner you will be actively engaged in coordinating activity with key customers and internal teams as ESP leads the way to help our customers roll-out Electric Vehicle charging points across the country, enabling progress towards net-zero.

You will be joining a highly successful and growing team, focused on high delivery standards with a customer centric mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage programme plans and trackers across EV portfolios.
  • Track progress against key milestones.
  • Ensure dependencies, constraints, and critical paths are clearly understood and visible.
  • Support short‑term and long‑term programme planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate trackers, dashboards, and reporting outputs.
  • Monitor progress, highlight slippage, and flag risks.
  • Support preparation of programme review packs and governance reporting.
  • Comfortable handling high volumes of information / requests / questions and be able to keep track of actions.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Pricing, Design, Legal and Operations.
  • Support engagement with external parties (e.g. DNOs, ICPs, manufacturers).
  • Support effective communication across programme workstreams.
  • Identify and log programme risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Track mitigation actions and follow up with responsible owners.
  • Support escalation processes where programme risks threaten delivery milestones.
  • Ensure programme data is accurate, up to date, and consistent.
  • Support continuous improvement of programme planning tools, trackers and processes.
  • Capture lessons learned and support standardisation across programmes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a project coordination, planning or administrative role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail with confidence handling programmes, trackers and reporting information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
  • Experience supporting utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of power distribution and HV connections.
  • Experience working in a multi stakeholder and customer facing role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, MSP, APMP PMP, or Prince 2 accreditation.
