Engineering Manager – Design of Facilities
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £49,480 – £70,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

Overview
We are currently recruiting an Engineering Manager for the Capital Engineering function. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be the focal point for supporting our existing and new high hazard facilities and operations. Partnering with the Principal Engineering Manager, your responsibility is to ensure facility designs (infrastructure, utilities, processes, equipment) are suitable and appropriate by identifying and selecting solutions to meet business needs while considering functional performance and licensing conditions.
Qualifications and Experience
- HNC/HND qualification or 4+ years industry experience in a highly regulated environment
- Ability to work across functions, providing a supportive interface between the Facility, Subject Matter Experts and Technical Authorities
- Experience of managing both external suppliers and in‑house teams to deliver Project design packages
- Experience of all aspects of the project life cycle
- Establishment of requirements and problem definition
- History of developing and designing solutions
- Configuration management and application of change control

Preferred Experience
- Delivery of engineering design and outputs that underpin continuous safe operations
- Contributing within a multi‑discipline environment and being responsible for engineering design and guardianship of high integrity assets through the whole life cycle
- Articulating technical complexities and allocating Project/Design Engineers with design‑related tasks to meet working programmes
You will need to work calmly and constructively in a priority‑changing environment, manage your own workload, and exhibit initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
