Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
The role is based on site at UHS and is integral to ensuring that estates compliance is monitored, managed and reported. You will work independently within scope of practice as part of the EFCD Compliance Team, providing specialist advice and guidance on estates statutory and mandatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on estates compliance frameworks such as SCART and the NHS Premises Assurance Model (PAM).
- Coordinate risk governance processes and support the delivery of safe, compliant estates services.
- Collaborate with colleagues across estates, senior managers and safety groups to track and continuously improve compliance.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on estates statutory and mandatory compliance.
- Communicate complex information, legislation, policies and technical guidance clearly to a range of audiences.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Criteria
- Degree (or level 6) qualification or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
- IOSH Managing Safety or equivalent.
- Relevant engineering, and/or engineering building services training including knowledge of Engineering, Construction Design & Management Regulations to a master level or equivalent experience.
- Experience as part of governance frameworks.
- Evidence of relevant continued development (CPD).
Desirable Criteria
- Healthcare building services compliance experience in NHS / healthcare setting.
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
