Overview
I’m currently partnering with a high-growth, international fintech that’s scaling rapidly across Europe and now making a serious push into the UK market. They operate across payments, EMI and FX, providing businesses with faster, more flexible infrastructure compared to traditional providers - and are already well-established in multiple regions with strong momentum behind them. As part of this growth, they’re hiring a Business Development Professional to own UK new business. This is not a relationship management role.
This is for someone who wants to build a market, create pipeline from scratch, and close high-value deals.
What you’ll actually be doing
- Owning a UK new business revenue target (full accountability)
- Building and converting your own pipeline across EMI, payments, FX, crypto & gaming
- Winning deals against legacy providers by positioning a faster, more flexible solution
- Structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Acting as the face of the business in the UK
- Feeding market insight back into product, pricing and strategy
What they’re looking for
- Proven hunter mentality - you’ve built pipeline from zero and closed
- Background in payments/EMI/FX/crypto/gaming fintech
- Experience selling complex, regulated solutions (not simple SaaS)
- Strong UK network - able to open doors at decision-maker level
- Commercially sharp - confident negotiating and structuring deals
