Summary of the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Analyst to join a leading organisation's Business Solutions team on a temporary 6+ month contract, with strong potential for extension or progression to a permanent role.

This Technical Support Analyst role is ideal for someone with a background in general IT support and a particular interest in application support. You will play a key role in supporting core business systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day system performance. A strong understanding of business processes, coupled with the ability to learn new applications quickly, will be highly beneficial.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical and application support to business users, including troubleshooting and resolving system issues
  • Administer systems including user access, permissions, and ongoing maintenance
  • Monitor applications, batch jobs, interfaces, and integrations to ensure optimal performance
  • Analyse data outputs to ensure accuracy and identify risks or inconsistencies
  • Work closely with development teams and third-party vendors to implement enhancements and resolve technical issues
  • Maintain data integrity through effective data management and governance of key master data
  • Accurately log and manage incidents through the helpdesk system, maintaining documentation and knowledge bases
  • Support the creation of user guides and deliver end-user training where required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and recommending solutions




Criteria

  • Experience in an Application Support role
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across systems and applications
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) or similar business applications
  • Good understanding of business processes
  • Confident working with data, with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to support users at all levels
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks
