Support Worker – Driver required

We have an exciting permanent opportunity to join our Community Pathways team as Support Worker/Driver. Community Pathways is a service registered with the Care Inspectorate. The service provides a blend of building based support, projects and workshops, working with people in their own homes and local communities. Those accessing the service have additional support needs including learning disabilities, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, neuro divergent individuals and young people with service and care needs. The service is available for people aged 16 years and over. The ambition of East Renfrewshire HSCP is to embrace new opportunities with a commitment to innovation and high quality services and supports, designed and delivered in partnership with local people and partners. We want to ensure that health and social care supports available in East Renfrewshire meet the needs, values and personal ambitions of the people who live here. We want supports to be truly person-centred, focused on human rights and empowering people to thrive at whatever stage they are at in life. The Support Worker/Driver will provide direct support to individuals in a range of care settings. We need someone who is passionate about working with adults with a wide range of support needs. This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with protected adults. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.
