*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The position is full-time and involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and efficiency are paramount.*Duties** Prepare metal components for coating by cleaning, masking, and surface preparation* Operate powder coating equipment with precision to apply even coats on designated surfaces* Monitor coating thickness and quality throughout the process, making adjustments as necessary* Use hand tools and power tools to assemble or modify parts as required before or after coating* Perform routine maintenance on coating machinery to ensure optimal performance* Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring compliance with quality standards* Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations*Skills** Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and troubleshoot coating equipment* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques* Experience in construction painting, welding, or assembly is advantageous* Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating coating thicknesses or component dimensions* Warehouse experience or familiarity with industrial environments is beneficial* Knowledge of welding processes and fabrication methods enhances versatility in the role* Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting This position offers an engaging environment for those eager to develop their skills within manufacturing and finishing processes.
