I am currently looking to speak with experienced Finance Directors from the Leisure and Hospitality sector, for a fantastic opportunity working with a growing and well-established organisation based near Burnley. This is a senior leadership role, with responsibility for shaping financial direction and growth of the company, whilst leading the finance team and driving financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function, overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, and strategic planning.
- Work closely with the CEO and senior management team to provide financial insights, forecasts, and recommendations to drive business growth.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the business.
- Provide support to the Board, ensuring sound financial decision-making aligned with the company’s strategy.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to ensure profitability and liquidity.
- Support M&A activities and integrations, where relevant.
- Drive financial processes, implementing best practices for financial controls and efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Finance Director or senior finance role, ideally within the leisure, hospitality, or similar service-based sectors.
- Strong exposure to working in a Private Equity-backed business, with an understanding of PE expectations and reporting.
- Demonstrable experience managing finance teams and delivering financial strategies within businesses with a turnover of around £30m.
- Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both financial and non-financial stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, strategic mindset with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
