Job Description:
A market-leading technology business, part of a listed PLC group (c.£40m turnover, finance team of five), is looking to appoint a Finance Director to join its Executive Management Team.
- Immediate interim requirement (3 months+) to provide leadership cover
- Permanent role for long-term ownership
Operating across the UK, US, and Germany, this is a high-impact role partnering closely with the CEO and Group CFO. This role would suit a first-time Finance Director or an experienced Financial Controller looking to step up.
The Role
- Strategic partner to the CEO and Group CFO
- Lead financial planning, reporting, and performance across international operations
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management accounts
- Drive financial and operational performance
- Oversee ERP, systems, and process improvements
- Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and compliance
- Lead and develop the finance team
- Support Group initiatives, including M&A
About You
- Senior finance leader within technology, software, or advanced engineering
- Experience in multi-entity, international environments
- Strong technical grounding (IFRS, UK GAAP, tax)
- Experience with ERP systems and driving improvements
- Exposure to R&D accounting and cost control
- Confident operating at Exec level
